Our robotics team is dedicated to becoming our best selves, constantly learning and adapting to the exciting challenges before us. Supporting the purchase of parts, tournament fees, and facility is a huge help to us and our mission, those resources are the lifeblood of a competitive robotics organization. Another reason your funding will be helpful is because our goal is to make Robotics accessible and enticing for everyone. Currently, our organization requires us to pay a price of 1000$ to participate in the program, this is to cover the costs of parts and tournaments, but that isn't very welcoming for people who are new to robotics. Raising money in preparation for next year will allow us to welcome people into our program free of charge so they too can have this amazing opportunity to get an insight into what it's like to be an engineer!
Robots need parts big and small, expensive and cheap. We are always looking to improve the robot with the best parts to assemble our designs making them stronger, lighter, and more innovative.
Tournaments are pay-to-play, with more competitive tournaments being out of state, thus costing more. The Worlds Tournament is an expensive ticket. We also would love to go to more high-quality tournaments next year!
The VEX field is 12 x 12 feet, to house this we need a dedicated facility. Currently, we are working out of whatever space we can find, whether that is a garage or a room at our school, space is not a thing we have permanent access to. We would like to upgrade to a more permanent facility so that we can grow our program and start a second team.
The VEX World's competition is the single largest robotics event in the whole world, last year 5013X competed with 880 other teams. over 30,000 students come from 50 states and 50 countries, VEX Worlds is a massive part of the season for us. It is just as expensive as it is big, and we could use your help to get to Worlds!
Our Fundrasing Goal is 10,000 dollars. This can be broken down here:
3000$ - VEX Worlds Competition, Entry fee and travel expenses .
1500$ - Tournament fees and travel fees for next season, Out of state and In state tournaments.
2000$ - Parts For next season, Our team parts but more importantly all new parts for a second team.
2500$ - A Permanent Facility for all of next season
1000$ - New Field, next seasons game has a new challenge, and that means a new field with it.
